Gemini File Search

Google's Gemini API File Search product is a hosted retrieval-augmented generation tool that imports, chunks, indexes, and searches files to ground Gemini responses. The 2026 Google blog says it now supports multimodal text and image data, custom metadata filtering, and page-level citations.
