Magnific launches Desktop app for macOS and Windows

Magnific’s official launch note gets unusually specific about the file loop: generated output appears in a chosen local folder, and files dropped there upload to Magnific. Its Desktop page keeps the web version around as a second, zero-install way to use the same account.

Magnific describes Desktop as a native workspace kept separate from browser tabs. The Desktop page says tools, Spaces, and creations can stay open side by side, and updates install from inside the app.

The launch post also lists native shortcuts, alongside the promise of keeping the whole workflow in one window.

A local folder becomes a Magnific project in the company’s official launch note: new generations appear there, while assets dropped in the folder upload to the service.

Magnific labels the related capabilities “folder sync” and “local processing” in its launch post, without specifying which processing steps run locally.

Magnific makes a direct persistence claim in its follow-up: “Nothing resets when you close it.”

That applies to a workspace whose tabs can hold tools, Spaces, and creations, according to the Desktop page.

Magnific says Desktop is available now on macOS and Windows.

The company says existing accounts and sessions carry into the app through browser-based sign-in. Its third feature note also describes going from the dock to a finished workflow in one click.

The product page separates the two surfaces this way:

• Web app: no installation, with the same tools, Spaces, and creations available in a browser.
