Higgsfield launches an MCP integration for Claude motion design

Higgsfield says its MCP integration lets Claude Opus 5.5 generate graphics, build and animate compositions, render video, and return editable After Effects projects. The company describes a pipeline combining Claude, Higgsfield, and Blender.

TL;DR

  • Higgsfield says Claude Opus 5.5 can generate assets, build and animate an After Effects composition, render a video, and return an editable project, according to the launch announcement.
  • The integration exposes app-specific skills, spanning Blender scene work, Premiere sorting, Illustrator vectorization, and Adobe cleanup, as shown by the destruction demo and the Shot Composer post.
  • The proposed pipeline assigns scripts and automation to Claude, visual assets to Higgsfield, 3D scenes and camera work to Blender, and animation and compositing to After Effects, in the pipeline chart.
  • Higgsfield's commercial pitch pairs a $0.05 per-generation figure with cashback credits of up to $100,000 per business, in the cost graphic and the API cashback offer.

The MCP catalogue places editable After Effects work beside Blender and Adobe tasks. Higgsfield's integration guide specifies one MCP endpoint, while the production-skills bundle asks the agent to preserve scenes, layers, paths, timelines, and grades where possible.

Claude connector

Higgsfield's help-center guide directs Claude web and desktop users to add https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp as a custom connector. It says the server authenticates to an existing Higgsfield account and consumes existing plan credits, without an API key.

The same guide lists images, videos, characters, and audio among the MCP-accessible media types. A separate avatar clip pairs a speaking character with a terminal-style generation view.

Editable After Effects

The launch claim is a full chain: generate images, logos, and graphics; build and animate a composition; render the final video; then continue working from the After Effects project.

Production skills

Higgsfield's production bundle describes 11 workflows across 3D, VFX, editing, and design. The launch posts name these operations:

  • /destruction-studio simulates a Blender crash and returns an editable scene, according to the Destruction Studio post.
  • For parts breakdowns, the Exploded View post says /exploded-view turns a Blender model into an animated teardown.
  • /scene-builder arranges assets, poses characters, and establishes camera work, as the Scene Builder demonstration shows.
  • /Image-fixer repairs warped objects and broken textures in Photoshop, as the Photoshop example describes.
  • In Premiere, the Project Sorter post says /project-sorter groups clips by shoot day, syncs audio, and sets up sequences.
  • /Vectorize produces Illustrator files with organized paths, groups, and layers, per the vectorization example.
  • /shot-cleanup removes an object from After Effects footage and fills its background, in the cleanup demo.
  • /shot-composer builds an After Effects scene with subject, background, and sky on separate layers, while matching lighting, according to the Shot Composer post.
  • /use-touchdesigner builds a node graph, previews it, accepts changes, and keeps the project editable, as the TouchDesigner post claims.

Pipeline roles

Higgsfield's proposed division of labor is explicit:

  • Script execution and automation: Claude Opus 5.5
  • Visual assets: Higgsfield
  • 3D scenes and camera work: Blender
  • Animation and compositing: After Effects
  • Music: Suno
  • Sound effects: Soundly

In moritzkremb's motion-graphics guide, the companion workflow is demonstrated for product launches, explainers, longform-to-shortform edits, personalized video proposals, and animated presentations.

Blender previs

A separate six-stage sequence in the animation pipeline post moves from handmade storyboards to Soul 2.0 character sheets, Photoshop fixes, Blender movement and cameras, Claude scene prompts, and a final Seedance 2.5 video.

  • Handmade storyboards
  • Character sheets in Higgsfield Soul 2.0
  • Quick fixes in Photoshop
  • Movement and camera work in Blender
  • Scene prompts in Claude Opus 5.5
  • Final video generation in Higgsfield Seedance 2.5

Two companion clips show the bookends: the Blender workflow demo moves from a Blender workspace to final rendering, while the storyboard comparison pairs hand-drawn boards with final 3D AI animation. Higgsfield says its Passport Rush car chase comprised 18 scenes completed in three days; for the taxi's two-wheel maneuver, the team used a gray Blender preview and image references because the action was easier to animate than describe in a prompt, as the stunt-shot breakdown recounts.

Credits and cost

Higgsfield's 20-generation comparison labels the alternative only as “competitor” and shows $0.05 per generation for Higgsfield versus $0.20 for that comparator.

Separately, the API cashback offer advertises a $20 million pool that returns 100% of API spend as credits, capped at $100,000 per business. The post says unused cashback expires September 30.

UI ceiling

In skeptrune's critique, the creator calls Higgsfield's web UI limited and says their firsthand testing pushed them toward API endpoints and coding agents for work at scale.

skeptrune clarified in a reply that the complaint targets outcomes available through the UI, rather than the product's price.
