Higgsfield demos GPT-6 Astra completing post-production in After Effects and Logic Pro

Higgsfield says GPT-6 Astra can clean footage in After Effects, assemble sound effects in Logic Pro, and deliver an editable project file. Separate demos show it generating, editing, and posting short videos through Higgsfield and TikTok.

TL;DR

OpenAI’s launch post says Astra is rolling from a limited set of organizations to ChatGPT, API, Azure, and Bedrock surfaces. The visual-thinking repo that gokayfem linked to an Astra clip separates keyframes, reference edits, H3 motion, and FFmpeg export, a more explicit version of the all-in-one-agent workflow.

Four desktop apps

Higgsfield’s four-app demo places Astra across four specialist applications:

  1. Higgsfield for video generation.
  2. Premiere Pro for editing.
  3. Ableton Live for sound.
  4. DaVinci Resolve for color.

The consequential artifact in these clips is the handoff between tools, with the agent operating the apps where the edit, mix, and grade already live. A small early OpenAI Developer Community test showed the same computer-use premise at a humbler scale, a low-poly Blender pelican on Astra Medium.

After Effects project files

Higgsfield’s After Effects tutorial demo says Astra completed five parts of a motion-design tutorial:

  • Animated the typography.
  • Wrote the expressions.
  • Created the voiceover.
  • Edited the final video.
  • Delivered the project file and a reusable preset.

In Higgsfield’s 20-minute motion-recreation demo, the company says Astra analyzed a reference video, matched its timing, and placed each recreated element in a separate editable composition with a transparent background.

Higgsfield’s Canvas launch-video recreation makes the same editable-file claim for a motion and composition rebuild with Higgsfield MCP assets. A separate cleanup demo frames object removal from footage as a single-prompt After Effects pass.

Scripts inside Adobe

In icreatelife’s Photoshop test, icreatelife says Astra can write a script for Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, or Premiere Pro, then run it inside the target application. Their cost explanation in a follow-up is that the model uses relatively few tokens to write the script, while the Adobe app executes the work without further generation credits.

An icreatelife reply also mentions built-in Adobe MCPs in ChatGPT, while describing scripts as the preferred route.

Logic Pro and DaVinci Resolve

Higgsfield says in its Logic Pro demo that Astra assembled a full sound-effects track for one of its launch videos. The attached screen recording shows the agent arranging effects on Logic’s timeline and playing the result against picture.

In Higgsfield’s Resolve grading demo, the company says Astra took flat Apple Log 2 footage through contrast, shadow, and color adjustments; a related clip says the reference-image match took four minutes.

The “67” motion-design post describes another finishing pattern: Higgsfield generated the visuals, then Premiere Pro handled editing, sound, and final assembly.

Generated shots and published videos

Higgsfield’s YouTube workflow demo traces a short from generation in Higgsfield to a Premiere Pro edit and YouTube publication.

With access to Higgsfield and TikTok, Higgsfield’s TikTok demo claims Astra made the videos, edited them, and posted them to an account.

Other published demos fill in the production shapes:

  • A kids-cartoon demo has the agent generate in Higgsfield, edit in Premiere, and upload to YouTube.
  • The sword-fight brief in Higgsfield’s anime-film demo moves from Blender previs to Seedance 2.5 shots and a final cut, with the post claiming character and location consistency.
  • The multiple-upload claim comes from Higgsfield’s Shorts demonstration, where it says Astra researched trends, launched a channel, and published 10 Shorts with titles and tags.

AmirMushich reported in a production note that a separate Astra and LTX web-video build still needed several regenerations, plus time-warping and eased rotation transitions for a seamless result.

3D demo reel

Higgsfield’s movie announcement says it is making a film entirely with Astra computer use. A companion process reel opens with the agent browsing for film references before it begins assembling visual assets.

The broader 3D reel spans very different kinds of output:

bennash documented a more staged route in an Escher workflow: model an M.C. Escher-inspired scene in Blender, render a gray-clay camera fly-through, divide it into three clips, then restyle the segments with a textured reference in MiniMax H3.

Scores, drones, and light cues

Higgsfield says in its score-performance demo that an uploaded Jingle Bells score became a 3D performance. A post in the same thread says Astra mapped a camera move into a drone flight path and sent the drone through it.

The 3D pianist demo adds composed music and animated hands that Higgsfield says follow each note across multiple camera angles. Higgsfield’s concert-light demo extends the same idea into a program that manages a full light show from one track, with cues landing on the beat.

H3 frame grid

bennash traced an H3 duration quirk in a timing breakdown to a 24 fps legal-frame grid, where frames % 17 == 5.

  • A requested 5 seconds becomes 124 frames, or 5.167 seconds.
  • A requested 10 seconds becomes 243 frames, or 10.125 seconds.
  • A requested 15 seconds becomes 362 frames, or 15.083 seconds.

The same post matches reference audio to the snapped frame length, describes post-download trimming as the way to reach a round runtime, and treats audio passthrough as a separate post step.
