ChatGPT Voice adds email, calendar, and Slack plugins through ChatGPT Work

• ChatGPT Voice now accesses email, calendar, and Slack plugins, which OpenAI's Voice announcement says are rolling out globally in the latest app.
• Spoken requests can now enter ChatGPT Work on web and mobile, where OpenAI's launch post says they can create documents, decks, sites, spreadsheets, or handle browser tasks.
• Voice can run on GPT-6 Astra, Sol, or Luna, while OpenAI's Sol and Luna announcement places the two newer models in Work, Codex, and the API.
• Early connector reports include a Neon project-action failure that koltregaskes' follow-up attributes to a required project_id.

OpenAI's Work and Codex documentation says workspace model permissions can govern access. The Sol and Luna launch note describes cache reuse when reasoning effort and tool availability change. A 9to5Mac launch report says Voice previously used a single model backend.

The connected services named at launch are:

The scope includes third-party-developed plugins, according to thsottiaux. A phone test by simonw used datasette-mcp to hold a voice conversation with a Datasette-backed copy of a blog.

Work is the surface where voice receives the task. OpenAI lists five output paths for spoken requests:

• Documents
• Decks
• Sites
• Spreadsheets
• Complex browser tasks

The rohanpaul_ai mobile report says the mobile Work tab was available to Plus and Pro subscribers for tasks including email drafting and Slack summarization.

OpenAI says Voice can be powered by these three models in its Voice post:

• GPT-6 Astra
• GPT-6 Sol
• GPT-6 Luna

places Sol and Luna in Work, Codex, and the API, while excluding them from standard Chat. ChatGPT's Luna availability post adds that Free and Go users can try Luna in the desktop app.

OpenAI says its GPT-6 cache keeps more context reusable as reasoning effort and tool availability change in OpenAIDevs' launch thread. The existing configuration_update documentation shown in

limits that call to GPT-6 Astra in standard single-agent mode and to reasoning-effort changes.

The same tester said the Neon connector was reachable through Voice, but project-level actions failed because they required a project_id, as described in koltregaskes' follow-up. The initial report also said the Manus connector appeared broken and speculated about a recent server swap.

A separate nptacek report described Voice interrupting speech with acknowledgment sounds, then stalling after saying it needed a minute to think.
