Astra
OpenAI's upcoming major model for advanced research and agentic workloads
OpenAI's upcoming major language model, currently unreleased, evaluated for mathematical research, agentic coding, and cybersecurity capabilities.
Pricing
Standard rates: $10.00 input, $1.00 cached input, $12.50 cache writes, and $50.00 output per 1M text tokens. Requests with more than 272K input tokens are charged 2x input/cache and 1.5x output for the full request; Batch and Flex are 50% of Standard, and Fast mode is 2x applicable rates.
OpenAI’s official GPT-6 Astra model page explicitly lists standard text-token pricing. The model accepts text and image input and produces text, so it is classified as multimodal.
