GPT Image 2.5 workflow builds branded dashcam videos with Seedance 2.5
The workflow locks a realistic dashcam-style opening frame in GPT Image 2.5, then animates it in Seedance 2.5. Its prompts specify camera framing, branded vehicles, and escalating visual interruptions.

TL;DR
- The workflow splits image-to-video into two handoffs: techhalla's two-prompt reply assigns the opening still to GPT Image 2.5 and the animation to Seedance 2.5.
- Continuity comes from treating the first image as an immutable set, with camera position, vehicle placement, character, prop, and consumer-phone texture all specified in techhalla's full prompt.
- A remake preserved the timing and camera rules while swapping Coca-Cola and Mentos for lemonade and baking soda, according to underwoodxie96's remix.
Dreamina’s Seedance 2.5 page says the model is live and displays a 30-second reference-driven prompt where a reference video guides camera movement, pacing, framing, and motion. An AI Indigo review similarly describes combining a starting image, storyboard sketch, and motion guide. Techhalla has reused the structure for a [pink-ocean surf POV] techhalla's surf prompt and a [canyon skateboard run] techhalla's canyon prompt.
Opening-frame lock
The reference frame is doing the heavy lifting. Techhalla’s image brief establishes a windshield view, dashboard edge, road geometry, a damaged Coke tanker, and a Mentos truck before any motion is requested.
The image prompt locks four production variables:
- Camera: vertical 3:4, inside-car dashcam view, wide lens, windshield grime and reflections.
- Set: both branded trucks stay together on the left side of the highway, with a visible vanishing point beyond them.
- Continuity props: the tanker hole, cola jet, closed Mentos doors, and an empty oversized jug are all present before the action begins.
- Capture texture: daylight, wet asphalt, consumer JPEG compression, minor autofocus behavior, and no polished commercial look.
The Seedance prompt then names that still ref_image and locks it as the opening view, rather than asking the video model to invent the scene again.
The 30-second score
The video prompt assigns a timed action rather than a general premise, as techhalla's timeline shows. That is why the sequence has room for an approach, a causal chain, and a payoff inside one continuous take.
- 0-3 seconds: the car approaches, then digitally zooms into the damaged tanker as it brakes.
- 3-9 seconds: a man enters from the right with an empty jug and holds it in the cola stream long enough for the fill to register.
- 9-16 seconds: he drinks, opens the Mentos truck, and drops candy into the cola lake.
- 16-24 seconds: foam erupts, launches him along the highway axis, then strikes the filming car’s windshield.
- 24-30 seconds: the phone hunts for the shrinking figure, then holds on the empty horizon while the geyser continues.
Digital pinch-zooms, autofocus hunting, rolling shutter, windshield foam, and clipped phone audio are written into the camera language. The prompt bans cuts and camera teleportation, so every interruption has to happen from the same seat in the car.
The swappable payload
Underwoodxie96 ran the setup through an agent and rebuilt it around a sparkling-lemonade tanker, a baking-soda truck, and a woman carrying the jug.
The remake retains the parts that carry continuity:
- the locked first image and in-car viewpoint
- the approach, stop, fill, drink, door-opening, reaction, launch sequence
- a 30-second single take with digital zooms only
- a launch that travels toward the vanishing point
It changes the branded pair, character, liquid color, and reaction mechanism. The linked Promptsref library frames its image and video prompts as material to copy and adapt, which is exactly how the variant functions. Techhalla left the edit breakdown unspecified, later describing it only as “Flux and a lot of editing maybe” in techhalla's editing reply.
Magnific and disclosure
Techhalla named Seedance on Magnific as the video surface in techhalla's Magnific reply. Techhalla also said that explicitly naming GPT and Seedance in the caption may have helped viewers recognize the clip as AI in techhalla's disclosure reply.
