AIandDesign makes V3X’s “Shine Strong” video with Claude Opus 5.5 and Hedra MCP

AIandDesign made V3X’s “Shine Strong” video through Claude Opus 5.5 using Hedra’s MCP. Its vertical cut adapts the original 16:9 video to 9:16 with selective upscaling and crop selection.

TL;DR

  • V3X’s “Shine Strong” was made with Claude Opus 5.5 and Hedra’s MCP during an all-night session, according to AIandDesign.
  • The video workflow stayed inside Claude, the creator clarified in a reply.
  • A 9:16 adaptation used selective upscaling and crop decisions, according to AIandDesign’s follow-up.

Hedra’s MCP announcement describes generated work going into a creator’s Hedra library while the conversation happens in another agent. V3X’s creators have also started teasing trouble at their AI-character record label.

V3X and Rawkhaus Records

“Shine Strong” began last year as a K-pop-style motivational track AIandDesign made for their young daughters, then received a Suno remaster over the weekend. AIandDesign and collaborator @fAIkout brought V3X into Rawkhaus Records, the umbrella for their shared AI-character universe.

Claude and Hedra MCP

AIandDesign specified that the video work happened entirely in Claude, rather than Hedra’s on-site chat.

Hedra documents the connection as follows:

  • Server: https://mcp.hedra.com, added as a custom connector in Claude.
  • Authentication: Hedra account sign-in, with no API key required.
  • Billing: a Hedra subscription or pay-as-you-go usage.

The documentation says the connected client can generate media, read the creator’s Hedra library, and save outputs there. AIandDesign’s post does not provide a production cost or generation count.

Vertical reframing

After publishing the 16:9 original, AIandDesign asked Claude for a 9:16 reimagining, a neat bit of post-production delegation.

Claude handled two adaptation jobs, according to the creator’s account:

  • Upscaling the parts that needed it through Hedra’s MCP.
  • Using other tools to decide how to crop the footage.

AIandDesign also cut the ending to make the published version exactly three minutes. The post does not name the additional cropping tools.

Start frames and reference images

Claude reported a constraint with Seedance 2.5 on Hedra: it could not combine a start frame with reference images. AIandDesign shared that explanation in a feature request to Hedra.

Hedra’s Seedance 2.5 listing names both input types; the creator’s request concerns using them together.

Claude’s proposed workaround was to run story shots with only a start frame, relying on the existing keyframe because it “already locks in identity and set.”
