TL;DR

Earlier versions can become new branches, according to the official product page. The instruction “make it in French” changes both text and voiceover in the launch video. Even color coverage gets specified in techhalla's example brief, which reserves just 4% of the frame for magenta.

Editable code and frame comments

Move writes the animation as code, so individual elements remain changeable, according to the product page. Users can pin comments to elements or adjust the timeline; every edit creates a version that can be compared side by side with earlier ones.

Editable revisions are the best part of this launch.

Creator techhalla took a project through seven versions using comments, sharing these instructions in the tutorial:

  • 0:09.8: “keep all four letters in the same chunky cut-out type”.
  • 0:18.2: “swap the line for a strip of tape that slaps on the beat”.
  • 0:21.4: “turn this card into a gig poster for the wall”.

Magnific's description of pinned edits says Move aims to preserve the rest of the composition when changing the selected element.

Templates and Brand Kit

Each template includes the prompt behind it, so the starting instructions are available to inspect and rewrite. Magnific's examples include launch videos and logo reveals.

A selected Brand Kit supplies three inputs for subsequent versions, according to the product page:

  • Color palette.
  • Fonts.
  • Brand imagery.

Techhalla's 128 BPM workflow

Techhalla published a roughly 30-second brief built around a 128 BPM track, with five motion-design styles and additional opening, remix and closing sections.

Asset preparation and prompting

  1. Generate a base portrait for each character in Magnific One, then repeat the prompt while changing only the mood.
  2. Generate props and backdrops separately. The examples include torn masking tape and an empty London street.
  3. Attach the music track and ask Move to cut on the beat.
  4. Give Move the on-screen words, palette or Brand Kit, and instructions for what happens in each part of the song.

The character prompts preserve identifying details across expressions. One starts with “90s mod girl, heavy fringe, staring into the lens, off-white backdrop, direct flash”; subsequent prompts retain the bob, fringe and maroon polo while changing the expression.

The eight-section beat sheet

  1. 0.00-2.76s, cold open: a logo badge drops into the word MOVE; letters snap in on the count.
  2. 2.76-6.51s, fanzine: stepped cut-out letters at 12 fps, with the character appearing on kicks and scissors on snares.
  3. 6.51-10.26s, pixilation: wooden MOVE letters travel along a street and up stairs, one movement per kick.
  4. 10.26-14.01s, mod target: rings inside the O pulse on kicks and turn 45 degrees on snares, with character moods swapping inside.
  5. 14.01-17.76s, amp/VU: a speaker cone pumps, MOVE tears through its grille, and a VU needle hits the red.
  6. 17.76-21.51s, flyposting: a differently designed poster lands on a torn wall every beat.
  7. 21.51-25.26s, rapid fire: one character cut-out and one word per beat, remixing the five visual worlds.
  8. 25.26-29.83s, count-in and end: M, O, V and E rebuild individually before the final logo lockup.

Three aspect ratios

Magnific says the layout adapts when the frame changes between:

  • 16:9: landscape.
  • 9:16: portrait.
  • 1:1: square.

Multilingual text and voiceover

Prompts can be written in the user's own language, while the resulting text and voiceover can be requested in another language. Magnific confirmed both capabilities in a reply to its launch post.

Motion first, video styling second

Magnific also demonstrated a workflow that separates movement from the final visual treatment:

  1. Create the scene in Move.
  2. Establish its timing and camera movement.
  3. Export the clip, then bring it into Magnific's video tools to transform its look.

MP4 exports and access

The Move product page lists these export options:

  • File format: MP4.
  • Resolution: 1080p or 4K.
  • Frame rate: up to 60 fps.

Access is through Magnific's launch link. Magnific One and Brand Kit are included in all paid plans, according to the general pricing page, but the Move page does not specify Move's subscription eligibility or credit cost per revision.

Magnific set October 28 as the launch date and promoted a live workshop with Martin LeBlanc and Nicolás Solano. The workshop listing describes building a brand concept on screen using Brand Kit and Spaces.
