X creators report Original Content Rewards tracker updates again
Creators say the Original Content Rewards and Verified Impressions trackers have started updating after earlier access issues. They still report gaps such as no Home Timeline versus Replies breakdown.

TL;DR
- Revenue Sharing now has a hard sunset: bennash's email screenshot says current members earn through September 7, 2026, with a final payout expected September 11.
- The new gate is narrower than the old 5M headline: icreatelife's eligibility screen lists 500K Verified Home Timeline impressions in 90 days, and Roo's breakdown says qualified impressions are Premium-only Home Timeline views with at least 50% visibility.
- The tracker is moving again: GlennHasABeard's updated tracker shows 263K toward the 500K target after earlier zeroed analytics.
- The dashboard still hides the split creators need: GlennHasABeard's analytics post says Verified Impressions do not break out Home Timeline versus Replies.
The mirrored XCreators announcement gives the September migration dates, while the tech-ish breakdown catches the weirdest accounting detail: 500K is not a clean drop from 5M because the new count is verified-user, Home Timeline, and reply-free. In-app screens add the phrase creators are now screenshotting everywhere: “Does not include replies” GlennHasABeard's eligibility screen. The confusing part is live product plumbing, not policy wording: some creators saw errors, some saw eligibility, and some saw the tracker start filling again.
Original Content Rewards
X told creators that Revenue Sharing will retire on September 7, 2026, and that existing members can apply for Original Content Rewards starting September 8. The same email says previously completed ID verification and connected payout methods carry over for approved creators.
The program is framed around posts that add original ideas, expertise, reporting, creativity, and commentary. minchoi's summary put it in creator-native terms: reposts alone no longer cut it.
The 500K home-timeline gate
The in-app screen in icreatelife's post reduced the qualification checklist to four gates:
- Subscribe to Premium, Premium+, or Premium Business.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have at least 500 Verified followers.
- Have at least 500K Verified Home Timeline impressions in the last 90 days, excluding replies.
That last metric is the whole story. GlennHasABeard called 500K “much more achievable than 5M” in his eligibility post, but Roo's guide notes that the new denominator is smaller: unique Premium subscriber views in the Home Timeline, with at least half the post visible.
Creators also posted ready screens before applications fully opened for existing Revenue Sharing members. 0xInk's screen and markproduct's screen both show the same “Check back later” flow.
The tracker update
GlennHasABeard said the tracker “finally updated,” showing 263K toward the 500K Verified Home Timeline impression goal. In an earlier post, he said he had 30 days to get 250K more verified home timeline impressions.
The money was not abstract for smaller creators. GlennHasABeard said Creator Revenue had been bringing in about $200 a month in his Caturday post, then wrote that he was going to “go down swinging.”
The missing split
GlennHasABeard said X fixed the Verified Impressions tracker, but the analytics still did not separate Home Timeline impressions from Replies. That gap matters because the eligibility screen counts Home Timeline impressions and explicitly excludes replies.
Earlier analytics screenshots had shown zeros. GlennHasABeard's glitch report asked whether anyone else had broken verified analytics, and his follow-up said the previous day had also shown 0.
Uneven access
AIandDesign said some people appeared able to apply while he could not, even though he met the requirements in his access complaint. In replies, AIandDesign said he was already monetized in one reply and eligible in another.
The mismatch showed up inside Creator Studio too. AIandDesign's error screenshot showed “Something went wrong,” while another AIandDesign reply said the new section was visible in Creator Studio even without a notification.
Reply-guy reset
The replies exclusion hit the old engagement-farming playbook directly. GlennHasABeard distinguished genuine community replies from low-effort reply tactics in his reply, saying low-effort replies had “lined a lot of wallets.”
AIandDesign was blunt about the redistribution. In his payout reply, he said real creators now get money that used to go to scammers and engagement farmers, and another reply said most money had been going to spammers, bots, and engagement farmers.
Prompt paywalls and brand work
Artedeingenio said a cinematic post-apocalyptic AI video had not reached 2,000 impressions, then questioned whether it still made sense to keep sharing prompts, srefs, tips, and resources for free. In a follow-up, he said he might keep sharing videos publicly while saving prompts and srefs for subscribers.
GlennHasABeard said most of his creator income comes from brand work in his brand-work reply. awesome_visuals, another AI video creator, said in his Original Content Rewards post that the current pay system had not worked well for his “wacky original vids,” but he hoped the new system would be better.
