Creator reports a 10-step AI pipeline for a dragon battle film

A creator documented a 10-step fantasy-film workflow that starts with Midjourney references and GPT Image 2 character sheets before using Seedance 2.5 for generation and extension. Additional tools handle the final repair, editing, and music stages.

TL;DR

  • A 10-step dragon-battle workflow begins with five Midjourney reference images, then converts the characters into fixed three-view sheets with GPT Image 2, as MayorKingAI's opening post and MayorKingAI's character-sheet prompt document.
  • The first Seedance 2.5 pass used four character sheets plus a location image at 1080p for 30 seconds, with MayorKingAI's opening video prompt specifying characters, camera moves, sound, and timecodes.
  • The fight was built as a second 30-second extension, then the ending alone was replaced after MayorKingAI's repair prompt says the creator disliked the original defeat.
  • A CapCut-captured final frame seeded a 15-second aftermath, while MayorKingAI's editing notes say the finished cut combines two 30-second videos, a 15-second coda, and a Suno score.

The opening clip spends its first 17 seconds on human-to-dragon transformations before the creatures trade blows, according to MayorKingAI's shot timeline. The final aftermath begins from a captured frame of the preceding clip, per MayorKingAI's final-scene prompt. Dreamina's Seedance 2.5 product page lists the same production primitives: image, video, and audio references, timed instructions, and local editing.

Five reference images

MayorKingAI began with five Midjourney stills, each framed as a clean, front-facing studio reference rather than a finished shot.

  1. The knight locks in the worn dark-blue leather costume, sword, hair, and face in MayorKingAI's knight reference.
  2. The sorcerer establishes the crimson-and-violet robe, jewelry, and asymmetric shoulder piece in MayorKingAI's sorcerer reference.
  3. Bahamut gets silver-black scales, swept horns, wings, and tail in MayorKingAI's Bahamut reference.
  4. Tiamat gets three heads, crimson-violet-gold scales, torn wings, and runes in MayorKingAI's Tiamat reference.
  5. The floating island supplies the storm ocean, broken platform, lightning, and volumetric lighting in MayorKingAI's location reference.

A location still was an explicit control choice here. Artedeingenio wrote that Seedance 2.5 can generate locations from text while retaining the style of character references, but that an uploaded location image gives more control over a specific place.

Three-view character sheets

The stills were next converted in ChatGPT Image 2 into horizontal 16:9 character sheets. MayorKingAI's prompt assigns equal thirds to a head-and-shoulders portrait, full-body front view, and full-body back view, while repeatedly requiring the same face, proportions, costume materials, accessories, and colors.

The sheets turn descriptive identities into multi-angle assets. That matters in the next prompt because the knight, sorcerer, Bahamut, and Tiamat each become an addressable reference rather than a paragraph of appearance notes.

The first 30 seconds

MayorKingAI loaded four character sheets and the location reference into Dreamina's Seedance 2.5 at 1080p for a 30-second generation, as MayorKingAI's opening video prompt states. The prompt is a miniature shooting script:

  • Global direction: photoreal live-action fantasy, anamorphic lenses, storm lighting, diegetic sound only, English dialogue with lip-sync, and no text or logos.
  • Reference binding: @knight becomes Bahamut and @Sorcerer becomes Tiamat, with the humans physically transforming rather than being replaced.
  • 0 to 17 seconds: confrontation, then Tiamat's transformation, then Bahamut's.
  • 17 to 26 seconds: three elemental breaths, a temple collision, and an aerial fight through lightning.
  • 26 to 30 seconds: both creatures charge their final attacks, then the shot holds before either fires.

Dreamina describes Seedance's inputs as references plus timed instructions. An independent Seedance 2.5 guide likewise describes 30-second clips and larger reference sets as the model's fit for developed narrative scenes.

The second 30 seconds

The extension starts from the unresolved charge frame, which MayorKingAI's extension prompt calls a direct continuation. It changes the fight's dramatic arc instead of merely adding more impacts:

  • 0 to 11 seconds: Tiamat's combined fire, lightning, and venom beam batters Bahamut through columns.
  • 11 to 22 seconds: Bahamut dodges the killing blast, rams Tiamat, then regains ground through horns, tail, and claws.
  • 22 to 30 seconds: both recharge, fire, and Bahamut's beam wins the collision.

A four-second repair

MayorKingAI rejected the defeat shot and regenerated only the final four seconds. MayorKingAI's repair prompt replaces a collapse with a side-on beam collision that sends Tiamat through the ruined temple and off the island, before cutting back to Bahamut in the crater.

CapCut coda and Suno score

The creator used CapCut to capture the preceding video's final frame, supplied it with the character and location references, and generated a 15-second ending. MayorKingAI's final-scene prompt breaks that coda into three beats:

  • 0 to 4 seconds: Tiamat hits the ocean.
  • 4 to 9 seconds: her body sinks underwater.
  • 9 to 15 seconds: Bahamut reverts to the wounded knight, who collapses as the storm eases.

The score was generated in Suno as orchestral medieval fantasy with choir, brass, percussion, and strings. MayorKingAI's editing notes say the creator combined two iterations for the first 30 seconds, then added the second 30-second segment and the 15-second coda in CapCut.

Artedeingenio's separate Seedance 2.5 experiment paired a Suno v6 song with a prompt directing character movement, pacing, edits, and imagery to follow the track's rhythm in Artedeingenio's music test.
