Sidhu calls the proposed archive a “geospatial memory palace,” where a recorded moment remains at the location in which it happened.
The concept gives a memory two retrieval keys: the time it was recorded and the physical spot it belongs to.

Sidhu says the venue version contains more than 500 captures. Neither of his posts identifies the visual representation or how those captures were aligned, so the demonstration establishes the scale of the collection, not a reproducible capture recipe.
Photo Tourism
The original Photo Tourism paper describes two ingredients behind its landmark reconstructions:
- Structure from motion: overlapping photographs are used to estimate a 3D scene and camera viewpoints.
- Image-based rendering: those estimates support viewing the reconstructed place from new perspectives.
Sidhu's published posts do not name the representation used in this new project. The “hologram” label describes the experience, not a disclosed implementation.
Splat kitbashing
In a related reply, Sidhu pointed to Intangible as a similar creator use case, combining kitbashed splats with other CG elements. Intangible's announcement frames its new splat support as a way to turn the real world into a scene creators can direct; Sidhu did not claim that it powers the memory-palace demo.
