Users report Dreamina adds Seedance 2.5 with native 30-second clips
Dreamina users report Seedance 2.5 is live globally with native 30-second clips, long-form extension, up to 50 multimodal inputs, local edits, green screen, and 3D white-model controls. Higgsfield and Luma previewed integrations.

TL;DR
- Seedance 2.5's clearest unlock is native 30-second takes: PJaccetturo's Nexus clip used a 30-second output for a feature-film scene, while higgsfield_ai's music-video test framed the same length as a one-shot continuity demo.
- Dreamina's new control stack centers on references and edits: hasantoxr's reference breakdown says the model can take images, video, and audio to lock character, scene, tone, camera language, rhythm, and mood.
- Smart Edit is already producing practical video-to-video swaps: HalimAlrasihi's Smart Edit test replaced dragon fire with wasps, ice, frost, and flowers while preserving the original motion.
- The rollout is split by region and platform: hasantoxr's launch note said Dreamina access was live while US creators were expected to wait roughly a week, and LumaLabsAI's teaser said Seedance 2.5 is coming to Luma.
- The caveats are cost, caps, and language: QualitativAi's pricing reply reported 15-second clips at slightly under 2x Seedance 2.0, while ozansihay's Turkish test said direct Turkish speech still failed in one run.
Dreamina's launch post says Seedance 2.5 generates clips up to 30 seconds, accepts up to 50 multimodal references, and adds granular editing for timestamps, characters, and elements. PiAPI's implementation notes show a separate API surface with 1 to 30 second durations, 480p or 720p output, and optional audio. Higgsfield's offer page says its 14-day Seedance promo carries into Seedance 2.5, with its own claims around 4K and 50 references.
Native 30-second clips
Dreamina's official post says Seedance 2.5 can generate clips up to 30 seconds long, with smoother transitions and stronger character consistency. PJaccetturo's feature-film test is the most useful early creator artifact because it shows the full 30-second length inside a finished production context.
PJaccetturo said Dreamina gave the Nexus team early access and the 30-second output saved time and money. In PJaccetturo's follow-up, he added one blunt production note: run 30-second generations a few times, then pick the best shots.
higgsfield_ai framed the same capability as a one-shot music-video tool in its Seedance 2.5 continuity demo. ozansihay tested a 30-second tactical breach sequence and said the model missed details like a peephole pass-through, but preserved the feeling of one take, the camera path, speed transitions, slow motion, choreography, and sound design across the full clip in his action-sequence breakdown.
50-reference direction
Dreamina's launch post says a single Seedance 2.5 clip can take up to 50 multimodal references, including images, video, audio, and text. hasantoxr broke the reference jobs into five buckets in his reference breakdown:
- Character appearance
- Scene details
- Visual tone
- Camera language
- Rhythm and mood
techhalla's survival-TV example used 42 images across islands, rocky beaches, boats, a helicopter, a knife, maps, backpacks, tents, parachutes, and character sheets. His prompt named attachments with [ref], which made the references read like production assets rather than inspiration blobs.
For multi-clip continuity, techhalla used the last 15 seconds of the previous video as a reference, along with the character sheet and bike, in his CapCut workflow note. That is the cleanest example in the pool of 30-second generation becoming a repeatable scene-extension workflow.
Smart Edit and local control
Dreamina's launch post says creators can edit specific timestamps, characters, or elements inside a video. HalimAlrasihi's test shows why that feature is the sneaky production win.
The prompt for the ice version was short: replace all fire with ice and frost, including the dragon's breath, impact area, and spreading ground flames, while keeping original motion and physics exactly the same in HalimAlrasihi's prompt reply.
The broader local-control inventory is still coming mostly from creator posts, not the official launch page. hasantoxr listed local refinement, timestamp-based control, 3D white model workflows, and green screen support in his control note, while AIwithSynthia added 3D white models, green-screen assets, and Maya and Blender plugins in her Dreamina workflow post.
Feature-film workflow
PJaccetturo's Nexus thread reads like a production notebook for using Seedance 2.5 without burning every credit on blind generations.
The pipeline he described:
- Script: PJaccetturo and his writing partner riff on the plot, transcribe the meeting, use Claude to condense it into screenplay format, revise, then create a shot list, according to his script note.
- Look development: the team starts with Pinterest references for locations and cinematography, according to his look-dev note.
- Characters: the designs aim for "80% standard and 20% unexpected," a line PJaccetturo used in his character note.
- Organization: the team lays scenes out in grids with associated character ingredients, visible in his scene-grid post.
- Coverage: the first 30-second Seedance 2.5 run uses the location and character ingredients to generate multiple angles from the shot list, according to his coverage note.
- Anchor frames: Theo screenshots good frames from the first generation, then uploads them back as anchor images for a more specific second pass, according to PJaccetturo's cost-saving note.
PJaccetturo also pushed back on over-specified time prompts, saying they are too restrictive in a workflow reply. That explains why his main prompt describes sequence beats and geography, then asks for more shots, quick angle changes, and a chaotic handheld battle rather than locking every second.
Vlogs, ads, and TV pilots
The early examples are clustering around formats where 30 seconds is enough to feel like a scene, not a clip.
- Vlogs: higgsfield_ai's New York example locks two camera positions, HELD and PROPPED, then specifies eight hard-cut shots across 30 seconds in the full prompt.
- Product/post work: venturetwins highlighted a Timberland-style edit where the shoe changes while the ad structure, lighting, and background hold in the footwear swap example.
- K-pop performance: higgsfield_ai posted a one-shot concert-style performance with live-show camera language in its K-pop test.
- Time effects: techhalla published a frozen-time diner prompt where spilled coffee hangs mid-air, rewinds, and resolves inside a 30-second scene in his rewind prompt.
- AI UGC: NahFlo2n argued that believable feed-native UGC now depends on a face, a polarizing opinion, and a native-feeling script in his UGC note.
Rollout surfaces
Dreamina says Seedance 2.5 starts rolling out in the coming week for subscriber accounts over 16 across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America. hasantoxr's launch thread said Dreamina was live globally while US creators were expected to wait roughly one more week.
The platform map from the evidence pool:
- Dreamina: creator posts show live access, while the official post describes a staged regional rollout.
- CapCut: ozansihay said his Istanbul test was made in CapCut in a tool reply, and techhalla posted a CapCut workflow in his short-film thread.
- Higgsfield: higgsfield_ai repeatedly said Seedance 2.5 is coming soon and promoted 14 days of unlimited Seedance in its launch teaser.
- Luma: LumaLabsAI said Seedance 2.5 is coming to Luma in its teaser.
- Astorie: AIwithSynthia said Seedance 2.5 was reaching Astorie users in the US in her access note.
- Dreamina direct link: PJaccetturo closed his Nexus workflow by pointing readers to Dreamina Seedance 2.5 in his access post.
Costs, resolution, and rough edges
Dreamina's launch post does not publish per-generation pricing for Seedance 2.5. The field reports were messier and more useful.
- venturetwins said a Rednote creator's 30-second one-shot was apparently twice the cost of Seedance 2 in their Rednote repost.
- QualitativAi reported 15-second clips at slightly under 2x Seedance 2.0, scaling linearly to 30-second generations, in his pricing reply.
- techhalla said his CapCut run was limited to 720p in his first-generation note, and Artedeingenio answered "720 maximum" in a resolution reply.
- PiAPI's public spec prices its Seedance 2.5 API at $0.30 per output second for 480p and $0.60 per output second for 720p, with video references billed at half the output rate.
- ozansihay's first Turkish speech test generated English instead of Turkish in his language test, then he later posted a Turkish-speaking character with one word wrong and said each try cost 100 TL in his follow-up.
- 0xInk_ said MiniMax H3 handled text in motion better than Seedance 2.5 after several tests in his comparison.
- Artedeingenio said he had failed text-to-video results and that image-to-video worked much better so far in his testing reply.
